I usually have a good idea of where I’m headed when I’m running – I like to get at least a general idea ahead of time of my planned route, even if some things change along the way. Unlike running, I don’t really have a certain course mapped out for this blog aside from it being mostly about my running and whatever else goes along with it…the good, the bad, the fun, the not so fun, etc.
I had been running off and on (more “off” than “on”) since high school, but finally started running consistently a few years ago. At some point within the last year or two, I even began to think of myself as a runner rather than an occasional casual jogger. In that relatively short period of time, running has helped me in many ways while becoming an important part of who I am. I’m not really sure how to best describe it…some people call it a hobby or a sport, while others call it a passion or even a lifestyle. Regardless of how it’s labeled, it’s something that I enjoy tremendously despite the many ups and downs that most (all) runners inevitably face.
